Bierbaum Elementary has been selected as a National School of Character by the Character Education Partnership (CEP) in Washington, DC.  Only 29 schools and districts in the United States were given the award this year! Bierbaum is one of five Mehlville School District schools to be named National Schools of Character. The other four are Beasley Elementary, Hagemann Elementary, Trautwein Elementary and Mehlville High School.

"Each of these schools has a uniquely inspirational story of success in education, said National School of Character Director Lara Maupin. "Schools of Character are places that foster more than just academic growth--these are nurturing educational communities that support parents in their most important job--raising kids."

Bierbaum will hold the honor as a National School of Character for five years. Congratulations to all our students, teachers and staff!
